Vidder’s PrecisionAccess in ‘ASTORS’
Homeland Security Awards
PrecisionAccess is a completely new approach to security
that provides pre-attested, context-aware, secure access to
applications in today’s untrusted enterprise landscape.
PrecisionAccess, the industry’s first service
based on a breakthrough security architecture
called the Software Defined Perimeter, has been
nominated to compete in the 2017 ‘ASTORS’
Homeland Security Awards program.
Vidder is changing how modern day enterprises
approach security in the increasingly untrusted
and diverse IT landscape.
The company’s PrecisionAccess™ solution pro-
vides trusted and unified access control across
internal networks, clouds, and external users.
Security is enhanced by continually ensuring that
only trusted devices used by strongly authenti-
cated users can ever see and access trusted ap-
plications.

Cost and complexity are reduced via a single
layer of software-defined enforcement for IT, and
a transparent experience for users.
Vidder customers include enterprises and gov-
ernment entities who are solving difficult security
problems while gaining agility and cutting costs.
How It Works
PrecisionAccess screens both user and device
to ensure they’re trusted before connecting them
to protected applications — in three simple steps:
1. Isolate the application so it’s invisible to ev-
eryone on the untrusted network
2. Verify user authenticity and authorization,
and device trustworthiness
3. Connect the authorized user and trusted de-
vice to only the protected applications
After the device is connected, a continual trust
assessment of the device is performed to ensure
it maintains the same level of trust.
