blast-resistant protection while meeting increas-
ingly stringent requirements for aesthetics, func-
tionality and environmental stewardship.
Ross engineers work closely with design profes-
sionals to ensure product designs comply with
mainstay architectural principles, while staying
within the bounds of the products’ tested condi-
tions and materials.
They also provide early design assistance, which
allows design professionals to create custom so-
lutions and proper bidding documents before a
building design is finalized and sent to bid.
Products are tested under simulated “mob” at-
tack scenarios to ensure protection against a va-
riety of threats.

Security Awards Program
The 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards
Program, is organized to recognize the most dis-
tinguished vendors of Physical, IT, Port Security,
Law Enforcement, First Responders, (Fire, EMT,
Military, Support Services Vets, SBA, Medical
Tech) as well as the Federal, State, County and
Municipal Government Agencies – to acknowl-
edge their outstanding efforts to ‘Keep our Na-
tion Secure, One City at a Time.’
As an ‘ASTORS’ competitor, Ross Technology’s
FE/BR windows and doors will be competing
against the industries leading providers of inno-
vative Government Security Programs.
2017 ‘ASTORS’ Winners will be honored at the
‘American Security Expo 2017’ to be held No-
vember 8-9, 2017, in the Meadowlands Expo-
sition Center, at the 2017 ‘ASTORS’ Awards
Luncheon which will take place the afternoon of
November 8, 2017.
The full two-day conference & exhibit venue in
the New York City area, will include a full sched-
ule of conference meetings and speakers – plus
an Unmanned Security, Robotics & Drone Exhi-
bition Arena, Hiring Event & Education Opportu-
nities.

Depending upon the level of threat, a range of
resistance is available to ward off attackers for
approximately 5, 15 and 60 minutes.
Additionally, products are tested to withstand 5.56
M193, 5.56 M855 and 7.62 M80 ballistic rounds.
Some products can be engineered to resist blast
loads up to 40 psi/300psi-ms and beyond.
