Our cover photo this issue is the prominent sire , Waldman ’ s CH Buck . ( Photo courtesy of St . Benedict Bulldogs - original photo in color ). CH Buck has to be considered one of the prominent American Pit Bull Terrier sires in modern times , producing numerous quality offspring . They themselves have gone on to be used as the basis of numerous outstanding APBT kennels . Direct offspring such as Ratliff ’ s CH Butkus , Wildside ’ s Miss Leaky , Rodrigues ’ Miss Yellow , St . Benedict ’ s Iverton , St . Benedict ’ s Bon Bon , S . T . P .’ s Buster Brown , Payne ’ s Pulli , Rodrigues ’ Yellow Buck and Rodrigues ‘ Piggy are a few examples .
CH Buck is an example of an athletic APBT with excellent breed type , health and soundness of body , and temperament . As a prepotent sire , he has passed on those quality traits to his offspring and they , in turn , have passed on his excellence to their offspring .
CH Buck was bred by Pat Patrick and registered with the American Dog Breeders Association by Mr . Patrick as a six month old pup . There has been controversy about Buck ’ s pedigree as reflected in the ADBA stud book , fueled by Mr . Patrick himself .
