“STRIDER”
The cover photo this issue is Greenwood’s
“Strider”, pictured with Ralph Greenwood.
An item of interest for the reader may be the
bloodline of the featured dog. “Strider” was
well known in the circle of Pit Bull owners of
the era, 1970’s. Due to the fact that he never
sired a pup, his bloodline was not the topic of
interest. Recent interest has been shown, and
we determined that this is a most appropriate
time to answer the many inquiries “all in one
big swoop”.
The breeder of “Strider” was J. Barton of
Clearfield, UT. Sire: Neblett’s “Matt Mc Coy”
and Dam: Greenwood’s “Dotty Patch” (a Heinzl
bitch). “Strider” was a favorite of the entire
Greenwood family and took advantage of his
position of being the “family house pet”.
