61 60 Story by Rick Stewart As you crest the last hill on the way to Sonoita, toward Arizona’s Boulder Crest Retreat, the dirt transforms from gray to red and Mt. Wrightson comes into full view. Many know this area as Arizona’s wine county and this Sonoita American Viticulture Area produces a number of award-winning wines – some that have been served in the White House.
