Baker Drivetrain says its Heavy Duty Throwout Bearing Kit features a larger thrust bearing with a 97 % greater surface area and 77 % greater static load capacity than the stock bearing . This kit will fit 1987 and later applications ( except 2018 models with factory hydraulic clutch ). Bert Baker says that “ people have been griping about the 37311-75 throwout bearing since it was introduced into Big Twins in 1975 . Failures occur when the clutch cable is inadvertently adjusted with little to no free play . “ Performance clutches are even harder on that little bearing .
