AFT in England for 25th Goodwood Festival of Speed
The American Flat Track series is
headed to the UK for a one-off
demonstration and promotional visit
at the 25th Anniversary of the
internationally respected Goodwood
Festival of Speed (July 12-15).
A 4-day-long “celebration of
motorsports history, design and
technical achievement, and perhaps
the most glamorous and anticipated
motoring event of the year,” the
Goodwood Festival of Speed is staged
on a 1.16 mile Hillclimb track created
by the present (11th) Duke of
Richmond in the grounds of
Goodwood House, a classic English
Country house with late sixteenth
century origins - the center piece of the
5,000 acre Goodwood Estate near the
medieval cathedral and ancient
Roman port city of Chichester, West
Sussex, in the South Downs National
Park of southern England.
Described as motorsport's ultimate
summer garden party, “it is an
intoxicating celebration of the world's
