Stock replacement and performance upgrade shocks Internationally well known for their sportbike and streetbike suspensions, Dutch specialist Hyperpro has had Harley-Davidson (and more recently Indian Motorcycle) model-specific suspension applications in its line-up ever since the company began in business in 1993. Their range includes stock replacement and performance upgrade rear shock absorbers and rising rate/progressively wound shock absorber springs, front suspension springs, full front end suspension kits and one of the best known and most widely used steering damper programs in the market. Seen here, their 36mm piston type 367 shock “is a beautifully designed shock absorber, which not only looks great, but also has a very functional design,” says International Sales & Marketing VP Jan Belder. “It has a 50-click rebound adjuster, which is easily reached and adjusted with gloves on, and the adjusters on the reservoir mean compression damping can be adjusted for both high and low speed, to get the best damping setting for the owner’s riding style. “A manual pre-load adjuster is included, and they are equipped with a Hyperpro rising rate progressive spring. Also available with a 46mm piston (type 467), they have a fixed “MX” style body. The kits include camshaft, lifters and a cam installation kit that includes cam bearing, cam/crank hardware and a gasket/O-ring kit that allows for install of the factory one-piece pushrods or optional and recommended heavy duty HP+ brand 0.165" wall, one-piece pushrods. Feuling also recommends their fastener kit to help prevent cylinder head cracking – the kit replaces the rocker shaft bolts with 48 studs and nuts to help reduce the stress on the rocker shaft standoffs. Feuling HP+ kits come with HP+ lifters; their ‘Race Series’ kits come with ‘Race Series’ lifters; three cam shaft grind kits are offered: HP+ 405 and 465s and ‘Race Series’ 465.
