W&W expands product range W&W Cycles is now stocking ‘Cannonball MAG12’ wheels, which are reproductions of the cast magnesium wheels that gained popularity in drag racing circles in the ‘60s. The cast is using the latest technology and state-of-the-art aluminum alloys, to guarantee long-term trouble-free service, and the Sportsters, ’91-’03, the cast iron, nickel-plated brackets raise the left peg by 63mm and the right by 75mm. Providing a choice of handlebar options, W&W is stocking two designs from Pangea Speed; the Zephyr and Streamliner. The Zephyr handlebars feature flared ends that bolt directly to the triple trees, and have 3.5in bolt spacing. The 1in diameter bars are not dimpled, making them suitable for use with controls from bikes built before ’81. The 1in diameter Zephyr bars from Pangea Speed are for pre'81 bikes that do not require dimples A cast finish/machined finish is one of the options on the Cannonball MAG-12 wheels new wheels feature a changed hub design too. The hub now accepts special adapters which allow for the installation of common H-D drum and disc brake systems. Certified to take loads of 350kg per wheel, the MAG-12s are certified by TÜV and JWL (JASO) approved and available in sizes 3 x 16in and 2.5 x 19in and a choice of cast finish/machined finish or barrel polished/machined finish. W&W Cycles sources parts internationally and it now has Baja Sportster skid plates from Sweden’s LeBeef Kustom Metal Works. The skid plates are laser cut from steel, then shaped in hydraulic presses. The 54cm wide bars are 23cm high and have a 23cm pull-back. An extensive range of performance shock absorbers are now available from W&W as the company is stocking the Bitubo range for H-D applications. The Bitubo WME Series of shocks feature a nitrogen pressurized mono-chamber with a floating oil/gas separating piston. This internal hydraulic system is said to improve riding comfort and vehicle control. The adjustable shocks have a body made from make the conversions easier. The range begins with the Bull Original Boattail for ’04 on Sportsters. The design is based upon the one-year only offering from the Factory in 1971 that combined elements of Super Glides and Sportster seats and fenders. The fiberglass Bull Original seat and fender fits without any modification needed to the bike, is ready to paint and is supplied complete with a checkered pleat seat pad. The Burly Café Racer tail section is for ‘86-‘03 Sportsters. The shocks are available to fit 1979 on Sportsters, ’80-’05 Touring models, FXR applications, ’91 onward Dyna, and XR 1200 Sportsters from ’08. A second Bitubo shock option for ’79 on Sportsters, FXR, XR 1200, and ’80-’05 Touring models is a version with a separate compensation tank, filled with pressurized nitrogen gas. This feature is claimed to improve vehicle control at all levels of riding. The body is made from high-resistance steel alloy and its heads are cast aluminum (upper) or CNC-machined from billet aluminum (lower). Adjustment on the shocks includes spring preload, rebound and compression. Responding to the trend for creating café racers from Sportsters, W&W has a range of tail sections to finished in black. The supplied seat pad has a gel insert for comfort. Installation of this tail section requires removal of fender, supporting struts and relocation of the taillight and signals. The final café racer tail section choice is from Speed of Color. Designed for ’04 onward Sportsters, the German made kit includes an extended splash guard and mounts to the original struts, which have to be shortened, and a stitched seat pad.
