New products from Drag Specialties AMONG the latest new lines added to the Drag Specialties range are LED 53?4in headlight assemblies. The headlights feature high-powered ‘CREE’ power LED chips that are said to offer low power consumption and high output. Not only that, but the lights have long bulb life, lasting up to 20 times longer than incandescent or halogen lights. Supplied as complete headlight assemblies with either a bottom or top mount chrome housing, the headlights are replacements for FXST, FXD and XL models and for custom applications. The vibration-resistant, dual beam meets DOT specifications. Drag Specialties states that its high performance High-powered ‘CREE’ power LED chips are used in the latest LED headlights from Drag Specialties oil pumps help to reduce oil carryover during high rpm operation, and that the higher volume helps reduce engine and oil temperatures. To back these claims the company says that the pumps will increase oil pressure by 20 percent, pressure volume by 125 percent and scavenge volume by 135 percent over OEM Twin Cam 88 oil pumps. For OEM Twin Cam 96 pumps the comparison gain figures are 16 percent Extended OEM-style saddle bag lids can be used for custom applications or damage replacement The new Low Solo seats are said to have an improved fit and lower profile PARTS AND ACCESSORIES Drag Specialties’ high performance oil pumps offer increased oil flow compared to the stock pump oil pressure, 66 percent pressure volume and 100 percent scavenge volume. To achieve these improved figures the Drag Specialties pump has a 53mm diameter rotor in a die-cast aluminum body and uses high-strength steel gears. The pumps are designed for ‘99-‘14 Big Twin models and fit both stock and aftermarket cam support plates. Extended OEM-style saddle bag lids for ‘93-’13 FLT, FLHT, FLHR, FLHX and FLTR models are now being made available by Drag Specialties. Manufactured using the same material as OEM lids, they are said to be stronger, easier to paint and hold their shape better than other aftermarket offerings. The Drag Specialties’ lids are dimensionally the same as OEM ones, so can be used for custom applications or damage replacement. The lids also work with Drag Specialties extended OEM-style saddlebags. As part of its seat line Drag Specialties has new Low Solo seats available. These latest seats, which fit ‘11-’13 FXS and ‘12-’14 FLS models, are said to have an improved fit and lower profile. Solar-reflective leather is used in the seating area and automotivegrade vinyl on sides. The seats have molded polyurethane foam under the covering, and a fully carpeted bottom and 3?16in ABS thermoformed seat base while protecting the bike’s paint. Available in smooth, flame and faux ostrich designs, all mounting hardware is included with the Solo seats. Optional pillion pads are also available in matching styles.
