Mikuni HSR48 carburetor kit MIKUNI has a version of its carburetor kit available for use on V-twins, which makes use of its high performance HSR48 flat slide racing carb. The smooth-bore carburetor is claimed to offer the highest air flow possible, while providing highly accurate fuel metering, more power, and precise throttle response. A new extended main jet and larger fuel valve assure ample fuel supply for very powerful and larger displacement engines. Mikuni states that its HSR48 offers all the same features and performance gains as its HSR42 and HSR45 carburetors for stock and mildly modified Harley-Davidson and other V-twins. All HSR carburetors are designed with an eightroller bearing flat throttle slide assembly that allows an unobstructed venturi at full throttle to flow more air, while it mixes fuel more precisely at all throttle settings. Mikuni’s roller bearing throttle slide offers smoother throttle control and allows the use of a lighter throttle return spring for reduced throttle effort. Mikuni adjustable accelerator pump provides instant throttle response in any riding or performance application, while a high capacity float bowl prevents fuel starvation even under full throttle applications. The new HSR48 kit is supplied with rubber mounting flange, choke cable, remote idle adjuster and additional jetting. Kits are available for H-D Softail, Dyna, and Touring models from 1984 onward. The GP310 front calipers mount directly to the factory caliper location, while rear calipers require a mount bracket kit for each model series. All calipers feature stainless steel pistons, high temperature seals, anti-rattle pad clips, and are available in chrome, polished, black, red and o ther custom Wilwood colors. Wilwood Smart Pads are claimed to increase stopping performance and offer the lowest noise and dust levels available. MPR rotors replace factory 11.5in diameter discs. Both the MPR rotors and the GP310 calipers can be used independently in conjunction with the original factory components. The exhaust systems can now be ordered with five different end caps in chrome or black, existing Jekill and Hyde exhaust systems can be equipped with these end caps, and they can be fitted in different positions (360-degree turnable). The end caps and newly developed exhaust systems for tuned H-D engines as well as for the Screamin’ Eagle 110ci motors are made in Europe and TÜV approved. Also available are Jekill and Hyde exhaust systems for all Victory models. The electronically adjustable exhaust systems are tuned for the new Can Bus system and guarantee, because of a specially developed damping system, the full power performance of the motor even in the closed state.
