Latest selection of parts from Drag Specialties DRAG Specialties describes its Wasp style narrow gas tank as having a vintage look. Available in single or dual cap versions, the tank is constructed from steel stampings and holds 2.2 gallons of fuel. The tank uses 73-81 style cam lock caps, and on the dualcap version, the left filler is non-functional. Included with the tank, which measures 17.75in long x 9in wide x 9in deep, is a set of universal brackets. The tank also features a right side 3?8in NPT and left side 1?4in NPT petcock bung. The chrome outer primary cover from Drag Specialties is a direct replacement for the OEM part on ‘07-‘13 Softails. Made from die-cast aluminum, the cover has the starter shaft bush included, but seals and other components must be ordered separately to complete installation. Drag Specialties claims its OEM style saddlebag lids are stronger, easier to paint and hold their shape better than the parts they replace. This is despite the Drag lids being made from same material as OEM lids and having the exact same dimensions. The Drag Specialties lids accept all OEM or aftermarket hardware, latches, tethers, etc. Another new part available is the company’s frame-mount spring solo seat mount kit. It has been designed for installing large and small spring solo seats and made especially for ‘04-’06 and ‘10-‘13 XL models. The kit will also fit ‘07-‘09 XL models if ECM is relocated from fender and seat area (the kit does not provide relocation instructions or materials). The mount is black powder-coated, while the steel spring mount studs are stainless steel, and all other hardware is zinc-coated. It includes all hardware with 3in chrome springs, leather frame cover and installation instructions. Scissor-type springs can be used with this kit and are sold separately.
