iOmount System- Versatile, Secure, Ergonomic
Mitchell, SD., based Klock Werks is best known these days for its award-winning Flare Windshield program, its Fenders program and successful custom bike builds. Unlike spring-loaded clamps that wear out, or suction cups that fail in heat, the superior magnetic hold of the iOmounts represents a major shift in how riders secure their smartphones to motorcycles. For years, the motorcycle phone mount market was dominated by mechanical cradles, bulky plastic claws, and tension-based clamps. While effective, these designs often require two hands to operate, look unsightly when empty, and rely on moving parts that can wear out or jam over time. However, having initially offered the patented
iOmounts magnetic technology into their dealer offer as a partnership product, in 2020 Brian and Vanessa Klock turned the distribution deal into full ownership. They fully acquired the iOmounts brand, intellectual property and the then product designs, and set about integrating the line into the Klock Werks range. The company spent 2021 restructuring the ecosystem, engineering, and packaging before scaling the magnetic mounting division worldwide and into a wide range of applications- from on and off highway motorcycles and powersports vehicles right through to everything from bicycles to trucks and more. The secret the success of the iOmounts technology is its versatility and its powerful neodymium magnetic system to secure phones( and more besides) without bulky spring-loaded clamps. It uses an outdoor-rated iOcore magnet and an adhesive iOdisc attached to the phone or standard case( does not stick to silicone) and offers 180- degree rotational adjustment for optimal portrait or landscape viewing. " The range isn ' t just ' a product ' but an entire ecosystem," says Brian Klock. " Once the iOdisc is on your phone, you can snap it off the bike and onto other mounts in your car, home, office, anywhere. " The safety is ensured by a physical phone tether for extra security on rough roads or highways. Rider friendly ergonomics include the wide range of ambidextrous mounts, including Perch Mounts with side-specific options that bolt cleanly onto factory hand-control clamp locations for Harley-Davidson, Indian, and metric cruisers. They can be mounted on either the left or right side in line with your handlebars. " The Universal Mounts are quick-release strap systems fitting 0.5 " to 3.5 " diameter bars, ideal if you want to move the mount between multiple bikes. Our Klock Werks motorcycle phone iOmounts eliminate the bulky systems with specific phone cases allows riders to switch to a versatile magnetic system that holds phones securely and conveniently." The iOcore technology at the heart of the system is a two-piece magnetic setup: the iOcore and the iOdisc. The iOcore is a powerful, outdoor-rated, toptier neodymium magnet shaped into a sleek, chrome sphere. It serves as the anchor point attached to the motorcycle mount. The iOdisc is the thin, stainless-steel disc that adheres to the back of the smartphone or phone case using high-strength 3M VHB adhesive. When the disc on your phone meets the iOcore on your bike, they lock together with immense magnetic force. Because the main component is a magnet attached to a sphere, the connection behaves like a ball-andsocket joint. This allows for full 180-degree rotation and deep angular adjustments, letting you instantly switch between portrait and landscape modes or tilt the screen to eliminate sun glare while riding. A common concern for riders is whether a magnet can handle highway speeds, engine vibrations, and bumpy roads. Klock Werks engineered the motorcycle line specifically to address these challenges. The magnetic attraction is strong enough to withstand severe wind drag and sudden impacts. The tethers provide additional security. The system is designed to be completely safe for modern smartphones, ensuring the magnets do not interfere with internal GPS, cellular signals, or battery life. The clean aesthetics and custom fitment of the system mean there is no ugly, sprawling plastic bracket. Instead, there is only a small, unobtrusive chrome sphere that blends cleanly into the motorcycle ' s controls. Because the steel iOdisc remains semi-permanently attached to the phone case, devices can be seamlessly transitioned from the motorcycle to Klock Werks ' matching car mounts, desk stands, or magnetic wall mounts at home. " You only need to equip your phone once to have a unified mounting solution across your entire day," says Brian.
