The latest available data from JAMA( the automotive trade association in Japan, which includes representation of motorcycle manufacturers among its membership) shows Japanese made motorcycle exports to USA down by-5.14 %( 47,279 units) through June 2026. Japanese made 250 cc + motorcycle exports to Europe were down by-17.18 % for the year-to-June at 102,354 units, with worldwide motorcycle exports from Japan ' s ' Big Four ' home factories down by-12.08 %( 195,531 units). In total PTW terms( all unit / displacement) exports to USA were up by + 10.54 %( 66,591 units); down by-14.67 % to Europe( 109,614 units) and-5.99 % globally( 238,214 units). For the record: Japanese made motorcycle exports to USA were up by + 5.87 %( 100,706 units) in 2025, with Europe + 7.57 %( 235,603 units) and + 9.45 % globally( 433,092 units). Total global PTW exports from the ' Big Four ' Japanese factories in 2025 were + 7.62 %( 519,816 units).
MIC Vice President of Communications Andria Yu has been appointed to the Federal Motorcyclist Advisory Council by U. S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy. Yu will represent motorcycle rider education and training on the 13-member council, which provides recommendations to the Secretary of Transportation, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Federal Highway Administration on transportation issues affecting motorcyclists.
Bajaj Mobility AG in Austria has hired former BMW Motorrad Development VP Christof Lischka as the new Chief Technology and Product Officer of KTM AG.
Austria- BAJAJ Mobility( KTM) subsidiary WP Suspension has been hooked by the drug of brand extension with its first major product diversification- into the brake components segment. Primarily for Original Equipment Manufacturer( OEM) integration, the new line is ambitious- starting with pads, hydraulic hoses and callipers straight away.
