McGrath Quad Cities Harley-Davidson in Davenport, Iowa has been sold by owners Mike and Pat McGrath. The buyer was Steven Towers. The 19,611 square-foot facility sits on approximately 1.6 acres and was acquired by The McGraths in 2018- this is the third of their threedealership network to have been sold. Towers has expanded his network rapidly since acquiring Boneyard H-D of Winterville, NC in 2023. Frontier H-D( Lincoln, Nebraska) followed in 2024 and last year Towers added Historic H- D( Topeka, Kansas), H-D of Carroll( Carroll, Iowa) and Freedom H-D in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as well as Quad Cities.
Rescued from closure by former owner Textron last year, former Arctic Cat executive Brad Darling ' s investor group is " picking up the momentum " with a January 06, 2026, announcement that it is expanding its winter recreation portfolio with the asset acquisition of Widescape, a brand known for its uniquely designed WS250 stand-up enduro snowmobiles. Arctic Cat will take over all Widescape names, IP and existing product inventory from the previous Quebec, Canada based company.
Hoosier Harley-Davidson of Elkhart, Indiana has closed after 19 years in business. Owned and operated by the Saputo family, the dealership said the decision to wind down operations and its association with Harley-Davidson was " not taken lightly ". PSB commented that the closure adds to ongoing discussions within the powersports retail community about market pressures, dealer consolidation, and evolving manufacturer-dealer relationships. For regional Harley-Davidson riders, the shutdown marks the end of a dealership that played a central role in local riding culture for nearly two decades.
The Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association( ROHVA) is opposing Florida Senate Bill 356, which would allow ROVs- such as UTVs and sideby-sides- on public roads, stating that manufacturers specifically design the vehicles for off-road use. A legislative committee narrowly approved the bill, but it is thought unlikely to pass in Florida ' s Senate / PSB.
