Lyndall Starts Monolithic V-Twin Wheel Production
San Marcos, Texas based Lyndall Brakes has confirmed the start of production on an awaited monolithic wheel- what it describes as " the world ' s first truly monolithic wheel designed specifically for V-Twin motorcycles." " This groundbreaking wheel sets a new benchmark in motorcycle design and engineering," according to CEO Paul Kittrell. " This isn ' t just a new product- it ' s a new category." Weighing as little as 8 lbs 5 oz, " it is lighter and more rigid than anything previously available on the market " says Paul. " It features a boltless front-wheel design, made possible by our patented Lug-Drive attachment system- eliminating the need for traditional hardware and reducing potential points of failure. The first set made its debut at the Circuit of the Americas in September, on Max Flinders # 88 Road Glide in the KOTB round there- and he ran with them again at the season finale at the New Jersey Motorsports Park. Max is quoted as saying that " I was stunned by how light they were when I picked them up the first time. " We got so many people taking pictures of them at the track because they look amazing. But my favourite thing is how they feel on the bike. The first time I hit the track I noticed just how the ' flickability '
was easier allowing me to throw the bike around with ease." Designed with plug-and-play fitment for Harley- Davidson models, Paul says this wheel combines " effortless installation with serious performance gains. Precision forged, turned, and milled in the USA, this innovation reflects Lyndall Brakes ' ongoing commitment to American craftsmanship and cuttingedge design. " Our monolithic wheel delivers unmatched weight savings and structural integrity, all while maintaining a sleek, hardware-free aesthetic that V-Twin riders will appreciate." The wheel itself is forged in southern California- " in the same forging house as globally recognized brands ". This project has been in the making for three years now- the idea being conceived during the 2022 King of the Baggers season, when Lyndall was the preferred wheel choice for the factory Indian / S & S Cycles team. " One of the key things we love about MotoAmerica is that it is a very unforgiving environment that extracts the most from any team, rider, or manufacturer. This has driven our relentless pursuit of perfection- never settling for good enough. " Initially focussed on Harley-Davidson models, Paul has plans to expand compatibility into other markets in the future. The launch of the monolithic wheel comes on the heels of several recent product expansions from Lyndall Brakes, including new USA-made brake lines for improved durability and performance and expanded brake pad compounds engineered for a wider range of riding styles and conditions, including new fitments to accommodate the evolving demands in the V-Twin and performance motorcycle segments.
