The early signs are promising. The remarks Harley ' s new CEO shared with investors and analysis when hosting the qurterly results call for the first time in October suggested that he is in a better place to ' get it ' that his predecessor ever was. Its all about the dealers he says- hurrah!

Born from the Geiselwind, Germany ' Bike and Music Weekend ' in Germany in August, the new Custom Nationals was an AMD Approved Custom Show and drew 200 + entries ' straight out of the box '- quite an achievement for any custom bike show in Europe at any time!

A rain affected season drew to a close at the 34th annual Jim McClure Memorial World Finals at the Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina- creating quite a Nitro Harley story- with Samu Kemppainen ' s Chris Stewart Racing teammate Ryan Peery preserving or overhaling the Fin ' s point total? Ultimately Peery won the Johnny Mancuso ' s Circle M Ranch Top Fuel Class.
VANCE & HINES: Indian Motorcycle ' s New KOTB Race Partner............................ 20
After the V & H race relationship with Harley ' went south ' newly announced CEO Mike Kennedy has the chance to reinvent Indian ' s Race Wheels by ' going back for their future '. Kennedy had been the executive who masterminded the relationship with V & H when at Harley-Davidson, before new CEO Jochen Zeitz decided to( theoretically) withdraw Harley from race partnerships. That happened while Kennedy was subsequently President at the California exhaust manufacturer. Now though he has Harley ' s principal rival as his new ' plaything ' as it heads towards a post-Polaris future.
BONNEVILLE: LSR ' s set but the ' Big Guns ' couldn ' t fire........................................ 16
This year ' s Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials saw plenty of records set on the Salt Flat ' s ' Mountain ' track( kudos to Laine Langlois, Dale Zlock and Lisa Cipolla especially). However, with the Bonneville water table an increasing concern where the future viability of the conic venue is concerned, the Streamliners couldn ' t race for the absolute world land speed record due to insufficient run-up and slow down space at either end of the ' International ' course.
