COMMENT: So Not a Motorcycle Industry Insider After All Then................................ 4
Last month, Robin Bradley issued a manifesto calling for, pleading with, Harley-Davidson ' s board to appoint an international motorcycle industry insider as its new CEO. They haven ' t done. Though Artie Starrs is no doubt a ' good guy '( Pizza and Golf? He ' s gotta be!) and a topclass executive in the right context, is he going to enjoy his time in the motorcycle industry?
POLARIS: Indian Unit Sales Up Low Double Digits Percent................................................... 16 It looks like the numbers are starting to add up for CEO Mike Speetzen and CFO Bob Mack at Polaris Industries. Their Q2 Off-Highway numbers weren ' t the worst with Indian Motorcycle sales( and PA & G sales) positively shining for Q2. Wall Street agrees that ' PII ' is headed in the right direction with their share pricing popping after too many quarters of steady decline.
CUSTOM DYNAMICS: Dave Pribula Sells the Company He Founded.................. 10 Dave Pribula founded motorcycle LED lighting specialist Custom Dynamics in 2002, and he has now decided the time is right for a sale. The new owner is Legend Suspension owner AFCO Performance Group of Boonville, Indiana. Dave will be staying on as President.
SUPERSPROX: Stealth Sprockets For Chain Drive Conversions.................. 24-25 We reported briefly on the launch of a new line of Touring model from Supersprox back in March.
