Mary Frank is known for her clay sculptures and for her
monotypes, two very disparate art forms. Frank studied modern
dance with Martha Graham and art with Max Beckmann and
briefly with Hans Hofmann, although she is largely self-taught
as a sculptor and, presumably, as a printer of monotypes as well.
