That was over half a century ago. Today, that small mom and pop shop grew into an enterprise with stores across the state of California and Nevada. Bob and Art Jr. came on board the family business in 1965 to operate their San Francisco stores. Both Art Jr. and Bob learned the business very fast by traveling throughout the state helping to manage the family stores. The D’Angelos opened their store in Oxnard in 1972 and in 1975 Bob relocated to the area to run the shop. The store currently located off Wooley and Commercial Avenue has served as a staple in our community. They not only run their business with integrity, they’ve employed hundreds of local residents, some which have been working with them for decades.
