Pirates Restaurant What makes Pirates on Victoria Avenue in Oxnard unique is the FREE large banquet room with free dance floor and free live bands. Most of their bands are Old School and classic rock which most restaurants do not do and it gives the older crowd somewhere that is just for them. On Thursday nights they have Salsa lessons and dancing which is very popular. Pirates has flourished due to the paragraph above along with having good service and showing the locals that we appreciate and respect the fact that they choose to come to Pirates. Their goals for the future is trying to give the local clientele more reasons to come to Pirates rather than the competition. The owners background in the restaurant business was bartending and then managing a large Mexican Restaurant in Canoga Park called Sierras for six years before coming up to Oxnard in 1979 and opening up the first Bagel and Deli in the county. Then opening up The Cappuccino Club at the Camarillo Outlets and running that for 15 years. At the end of the lease at the Outlets Pirates they purchased Pirates in September of 2009. 2 Expo’s Ventura • 2 Expo’s San Diego American Latino Magazine Social Media Masters LIVE music every weekend!
