The Patio Restaurant at The Players Casino Chef: West Cooke Healthcare was my background. I worked with kids in a group home. I found that if I bought a cookbook they would look at the pictures and want to eat what they saw. So we figured out what the recipe yielded, how many people it served, and then figuring out if we had to double or triple it depending on how many people were going to be eating. I found that youths that would normally be trying to kill themselves or each other out on the streets, were quiet, working, and cooking. That fascinated me. It all came back to the basics of working together and breaking b ɕ
