Carolyn J. Williams camera, lights and sound Carolyn J. Williams, Educator and Camera Operator at America Let’s Talk studio, is an award-winning businesswoman and Audio Video Production instructor. Carolyn holds a B.A. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Houston Downtown, a MBA in e-Business from the University of Phoenix and a Masters of Art in Counseling from Prairie View A & M University. She manages and trains students in the art of videography. Her students have been selected to manage and operate the video cameras, audio segment, and industry video production software for a football stadium video scoreboard. As a highly trained Camera Operator her role involves interacting and maintaining good working relationships with other members of the crew and cast, including the director, producer, sound recordist, lighting technicians, actors, presenters and interviewees. She listens closely to each client’s before beginning a shoot, in order to produce a customtailored video or photo shoot that will reflect the person’s unique image. Markoiya Ginae’ Batie production assistant Markoiya is 14 years old and has attended Jean Hines Caldwell Elementary and Pershing Middle School. She is the daughter of LaToya Haywood Batie and Clarence Marx Batie Jr. She comes from a very close knit family. She has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Markoiya says, “I have a sweet aunt named Gina and one named Shonda. I have 2 amazing grandparents as well”. Markoiya has had formal training through Dance Scape, Chen Tao and Alvin Alley in New York, Jean Hines Caldweld Elementary , Pershing Middle School and Reflex Gymnastics Cheer Academy. At her elementary school she was involved in band, gymnastics and dance. She takes all advanced academic classes. She is very good in reading and math. “My favorite subjects are science and I’m really good with Social Studies”, Markoiya explains to America, Let’s Talk. “I am a dancer and I dance because it makes me happy. I am able to express my feelings through dance. My dance teachers inspire me. “ I plan to have my own studio and become a background dancer for celebrities. Carissa Luckey production manager is an up and coming spoken word artist who’s passionate writing began during her elementary years. Her captivating poetry is spine-tingling and touches many souls. The natural stage presence she presents is alluring; it’s always an automatic connection with the audience whenever she is presenting her gift. When she isn’t transferring her thoughts or life’s experiences into “floetry”, she enjoys spending time with family, helping out in her community, collecting and reading books, and rooting the Houston Rockets on during NBA season.
