up demand whose needs are just not being met yet. With our pre-order volume growing daily, we now know our unique features like Co-Pilot and Shift, combined with Hypersport's ground-breaking electric performance, are what this generation of motorcyclists want. "The Hypersport represents the first viable solution to bring Millennials into motorcycling in a meaningful way. Our pre-order data has presented some surprising insights: many of our customers prefer to use motorcycles as their primary transportation as a means to avoid congestion and reduce commute times or due to a lack of available parking spots in modern condos. Some state they used to ride, but quit due to safety concerns, while others state they were not willing to consider motorcycling until now. Unlike all other OEMs, Damon is attracting an entirely new customer segment to motorcycling." The Mission IP acquisition includes the PM200 electric motor, Mission Inverter and Skyline Telematics. The acquisition provides Damon with "proven, cutting-edge technology that shattered the AMA electric land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats and also set records at Laguna Seca in 2011, the 1/4 mile drag strip at Sonoma Raceway in 2012, and at the Isle of Mann TT Zero race in 2014." Damon says it is now entering the advanced development and test validation phase of its full stack electric vehicle and cloud computing platform. With an embedded 4G connection, road and traffic data collected from each Hypersport will allow the company to remotely update the onboard computers, increasing the motorcycle's ability to detect vehicles with every mile ridden. The company aims to be production-ready by late 2021. Damon is owned by Techstars Mobility, a company founded by serial entrepreneurs Jay Giraud and Dom Kwong. Damon's investors include Round 13 Capital, Techstars, Fontinalis, Extreme Venture Partners and Pallasite Ventures. FTR Carbon Indian Motorcycle Europe has introduced a premium addition to the FTR line-up - the 2020 FTR Carbon "enhances the desirability of the highly innovative model by featuring exquisite carbon fiber bodywork with a low-mount black Akrapovic exhaust. Mike Dougherty, President of Indian Motorcycle, said: "For the discerning rider, the FTR Carbon offers a collectable motorcycle with the highest level of finish and raises the bar for American motorcycles once again. Delivering the finest riding experience, and with the carbon accents enhancing the unique FTR styling, the FTR Carbon is sure to draw admiring looks anywhere you ride." Features include a carbon fiber front fender, long travel (150 mm), fully adjustable suspension, carbon fiber headlight nacelle, carbon fiber tank/airbox covers, carbon fiber passenger seat cowl, Akrapovic low-mount exhaust in black and 'FTR Carbon' branded center console plate. The FTR Carbon comes fully loaded with cruise control, dual disc Brembo ABS brakes, traction control, full LED lighting for better visibility and a 4.3" LED touchscreen dashboard featuring a USB fastcharge port and Bluetooth compatibility for charging and controlling mobile devices. Lean-angle sensitive stability control, ABS, traction control and wheelie mitigation control can be modified by three ride modes (Sport, Standard, Rain), providing unique throttle responses and traction control intervention levels." www.indianmotorcycle.eu
