A MESSAGE FROM CO-FOUNDER JAMIAL BLACK:
THE STATE OF BLACK YOUTH IN AMERICA
AMAZN Transformations "State of Black Youth In America" presents an in depth analysis into the
plight faced by many adolescent and ethnic minorities in the 21st Century. The 5-part series will
examine aspects of society that continue to be overlooked and historically entrenched from
advancement and equal representation under the law as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United
States of America. Because of the growing concern for the future generations to come, I, Jamial Black,
Co-Founder & COO of AMAZN Transformations, Incorporated and Political Scientist, declare a
State of Emergency for Black America.
This first edition will examine how far we have come, how far we have yet to go and what plan of
action is needed and necessary to move forward in order to finish fulfilling Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. deferred dream. Since the Civil Rights Movement, the most critical period in American History
for the African American Community, the outcomes have been proactive and retroactive on the
African American forefront.
The sole purpose of launching this campaign and distributing this publication is to highlight the
growing concern for the African American community all across America. By Declaring a State of
Emergency, I do so on behalf of AMAZN Transformations, Incorporated by making a conscientious
declaration to save our younger generations through Education, Inspiration , and Motivation. Instead
of only highlighting the issues at hand and growing concerns AMAZN Transformations will aim to
provided alternative solutions and a safe haven for everyone in communities across America where all
the odds are against them. Something has to be done, not next week, not next year, it must happen
NOW.
AMAZN Transformations Mission Statement seeks to empower and uplift at risk youth while
providing a means to accomplish goals, and become affluent, productive and responsible law abiding
citizens. Encompassing the uniqueness of each individual, AMAZN Transformations will encourage
each individual to reach their true potential and become successful by focusing on attainable skills,
preparing the individuals to enter the workforce, also incorporating the importance of actively
pursuing an education and most importantly restoring our Communities.
We must all be held accountable for the current State of Black Youth in America!
Many feel that society and the system have failed the youth, however the reality of the fact remains
that a system of any type can never fail those for which it was never
intended for. We have become too comfortable and complacent as a
community and society, that just getting by is as good as succeeding and
leaving legacies . There is some evident unfinished business that must be
handled with haste because time is of the essence. By maintaining our
roots and continuing to leave legacies for generations to come, we can
fulfill Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream and redefine the
AMERICAN DREAM!!
