Black Existentialism is the school of thought needed to address the growing concern in the
plight of African Americans in the 21st century. Black Existentialism is a theory which aims to
raise awareness based on the diversity of explanations, explorations, and the understanding of
ones “blackness: within cultural, political, philosophical and aesthetic life.
