Dear Dad,
You are the best example of what a father and husband should strive to be. Thank
you for ALWAYS being around to give your love and ensuring that we wanted for
anything.
I could not imagine what life would have been like with out you in it. Spending time
together doing nothing special proved to be some of the most impactful times of my
life and helped to mold me into the
woman I am today. Strong, smart,
determined and just a tad bit spoiled.
Oh and that super cool and suave
demeanor of yours that you gave to
me… much appreciated.
So many memories – watching you
review the drafting assignments from
your students, playing Trouble with
the family and me crying and quitting
before I would send you back to the
starting position, walking me down
the aisle at my wedding and being
my biggest support system when I
decided to divorce. Thank you!
For all of the encouraging words… “If you can’t be the pine at the top of the hill, be a
shrub in the valley. But be the best little shrub by the side of the rill; be a bush if you can’t be
a tree…” You remember the poem and I definitely remember. Mike and I still laugh and
joke with you about it but we both strive to be the pine at the top of the hill.
Words can never really express my love for you but hopefully these words will give you
a glimpse into my heart so you can see just how much you mean to me.
Because of you, I am!
With ALL my love,
Crystal (Meek)
Daddy’s little girl!
