The Banff Centre presents
a performance of Going
Home Star—Truth and
Reconciliation, a searing
story by novelist Joseph
Boyden. It’s the story of
Annie, a struggling First
Nations woman, who
meets the shifty Gordon,
a trickster disguised as a
homeless man. The ballet
was created and staged with
the support of the Truth and
Reconciliation Commission,

into residential schools. As
Boyden says: “The idea of a
ballet to commemorate the
years of pain, the years of
calling on survivors to come
