When does a society’s reliance on technology become too much for the natural state of the world to bear? Incinerated is a fictional dystopian piece that strives to answer that question about reality. A technological society is tested when an apocalyptic fire not only consumes a city physically, but affects a more common system within society known as the 9 to 5 work days and urban living. I wrote this piece to serve as an allegory to illustrate that as a society we must respect a simple way of life even if the world we live in is becoming more technologically advanced.
