‘SACRED NATURE – MOTHER EARTH’ Indigenous people all around the world are fighting for survival. Their ways of living are in trouble with the dominating rules. E.g. nomading people can no longer walk their grazing routes as private landowning instead of collective land rights becomes prevalent. And as the greed for resources continues we are taking them from more and more pristine areas, which many times happens to be home for remote people like in the Amazon. Only very few indigenous groups can still live purely traditional, most of them are finding themselves in a difficult mix of tradition meeting globalization, and many places their cultures have been suppressed and destroyed for centuries. Though there is also good stories to be heard about places where indigenous languages and practices are being restored and receive a new wave of interest and appreciation.
