However, our personal perception of our ‘Self’ is often blurred by blind spots.
In times of trouble, we turn towards another person for aid.
However, there’s no one in the whole universe who knows
you better than ... you!
No one else has spent so much time with you, no one else ever had access to
the deepest layers within you. As a consequence, no one -but you- knows best
what you really need! The catch is: how do you look beyond these blind
spots? Which way can bring those hidden treasures from the unconscious
realm into something you can see for yourself?
There are many ways. Using this two-way communication line you can bring
aspects of the Self, hidden within your subconscious and unconscious areas,
into your awareness by means of a simple technique: selecting colours you
feel attracted to.
This process is based on a phenomenon called ‘sympathetic resonance’.
Compare it with this: suppose you have just eaten too much, but not had a
drink, and there you are standing before a large buffet with food and drinks.
What do you think you’ll be attracted to? Only drinks, right? It’s the law
of sympathetic resonance that gives you the signals you need. If only you are
aware. Mind you, most signals are far more subtle than our example here.
Now colour is a powerful visual thing. Think about yourself, in the morning,
picking your favourite green sweater, or that fabulous red dress ... only to feel
this small still voice within saying “No”? No, as in “No, I don’t feel like it”.
Or maybe try to recall a situation where you are in a decoration shop, choosing
which colour paint you would like for your bedroom walls.
Can be challenging, isn’t it?
It’s all about sympathetic resonance, meaning
that we are attracted to certain colours, and
there’s a reason behind it.
Our colour preference is a mirror of
the state of our Self.
