We paddled in silence to Sweet Pine Island, where we
embarked on a Vision Quest.
Sitting alone in my own circle, I wanted passionately to feel whole and
healed. I spoke my history to Earth and Water, asking for help. I felt my
great fear of the world, of finding my place in it. I wanted to trust more
in myself, in others, and most of all in life itself.
In summer in the Arctic Circle the sun never completely disappears. As it
lowered I sat facing it.
I asked for healing of my wounds and the anger inside me. I visualized
an old spirit guide who had worked with me before; she placed a stone
on the ground, using it to draw out the anger I’d stored.
