of The Magdalene's Journey that started back in
2003 in Spain.
FRANCE – Part 4 –
CHARTRES – MONTPELLIER, 2012
It was time to leave Chartres. Montségur was calling me - Land of Cathars was calling me. I met
St. Yves again just before I left. As usual he sang his morning Gratitude Songs to Her in the
Chapel. His hands full of roses - for Her. Humbleness, grace, generosity and gratitude were his
clothes. We sat there for a while… listening to the silence, bathing in peace of the Chapel.
I left north and embarked south… The plan was to visit Beziérs, Carcassonne, Foix and then
Montségur. St. Yves gave me a little book of Cathars to read on a train. Golden fabric Rose Petal
and ‘Explore your alchemy’ was dedication.
The book was about young Cathar Arnaud, his Pilgrimage from Orval to Montségur, his exploration
about balance between male and female energy, balance in partnership, purity of intentions,
thoughts and consuming. The part that got me most was when Arnaud who receives his last test
before being initiated. He meets his teacher and he asks him:
What is purity for you?
What is that one thing that you believe in most?
What are you willing to die for? What prevents you sleep peacefully at night?
Arnaud takes those questions on his pilgrimage from Orval to Montségur. He is suppose to walk in
silence and explore those questions. I hoped to ansver those questions myself on my arrival to
'Château de Montségur'.
My First South Station was Montpellier, with a Festival of
Music and a Summer Solstice.
A night to rejoice and celebrate Life. Streets were full of
people from all over the world.
Air vibrant with energy.
Songs of Love and Life were pouring from every corner.
Time to Explore.
Time to Sing.
Time to Dance.
