RED HEARTH WOMAN
She was so grateful, so grateful
to the women who came
Hearth Women, Hearth Women.
She received blessings and flowers
for the birthing
of another bleeding on the land.
This time women danced and rejoiced
sang lullabies
to Red Hearth Woman.
She was so held, so held
by the women who came
they knew what to do
Hearth Women, Hearth Women.
Red Hearth Woman
had sweet company
drummed other women
into the Red Hearth House.
She called and gave thanks to all her relations.
She refreshed herself in the spring water
and felt the blessing of the trees.
She remembered the many stories of
Hearth Women, Hearth Women
Red Hearth Woman
keeps the fire burning
for our blood blessings.
In many parts of the world, different cultures honour and
recognise the significance of the menstrual cycle on women'
health, spirituality and sexuality.
I have been honouring my bleeding time for many years now and it
has brought many gifts for me. I would like other women to feel
the benefit of this process of monthly listening.

I have moved now into the menopause and the Red Hearth House is still a special space to take precious
time to just be, listen and breathe with the earth.
With Love,
