Best wishes go out to James L Rehberger, DC, (NCC ’72), on his retirement from active practice in Highland, Illinois, after 43 years. Along with his practice, he spent many years as an active volunteer with the Illinois Chiropractic Society, the American Chiropractic Association, and his community. Dr. Rehberger and his wife, Lynn, have retired to Reno, Nevada, to be close to their children and grandchildren who all live in the western U.S. Dr. Rehberger sends his best to all his NUHS friends around the country and world.
Congratulations to Tawainna Houston, ND, (NUHS ’14) on the publication of her first book, Detox-Style: Creating a Healthy Lifestyle Through Daily Holistic Detoxification Practices. The book provides advice on how to rid the body of the accumulation of environmental toxins and man-made chemicals in the body that contribute to disease. Dr. Houston serves as chief medical officer at Journey of Wellness Natural Medicine Center in Decatur, Georgia, where she specializes in providing natural forms of disease management and prevention services to her patients.
Thomas M. Mitchell, DC, (NUHS ’03), was recently featured in an article in the Monday Business section of the Daily Herald Business Ledger celebrating his recent record-setting weightlifting achievement. During the recent American Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation Competition, he broke the federation’s world record by bench-pressing 485 pounds in the 198-pound weight class. The owner of the Chicago Institute for Health and Wellness in Elgin, Dr. Mitchell has been weightlifting since age 12. Congratulations, Dr. Mitchell!
Anthony D'Antoni, DC, PhD, (NUHS '03) has been elected to the Council of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists (AACA) as councilor-at-large. The AACA is an organization that focuses on the advancement of clinical knowledge and anatomical services. Dr. D'Antoni is also the author of the ankle and foot chapter of the 41st edition of Gray's Anatomy.
