National University's 110th Aniversary

A Conversation With President Emeritus Dr. James Winterstein

on Our 110th Anniversary

“In the past 110 years, National University has proven itself as a leader not only in education, but in moving our professions forward in research and in mainstream health care. While Dr. John Fitz Alan Howard set the stage for these accomplishments, the most notable pioneer in regard to their expansion and acceptance was undoubtedly Dr. Joseph Janse. Winterstein.

“I feel honored to have been a part of this history as well, next to men such as John Fitz Alan Howard, William Charles Shultze and Joseph Janse. It's encouraging to me that our current President, Dr. Joseph Stiefel, is carrying this same sense of mission forward for our university today."
