Alumni Ambassadors

In Washington, D.C.

NUHS ND students attended the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) Federal Legislative Initiative held in May in Washington, D.C., along with Mr. Ron Mensching, vice president for business services at NUHS.

“Our group met with Illinois Congressman Danny Davis, and with health care staff from the office of Congressman Peter Roskam. We also asked our representatives to support letters to their colleagues on a Medicare pilot project that would document the benefits of naturopathic care for seniors,” reports Ron Mensching.

“It was an amazing experience. We had a chance to interact with ND students from other schools and meet leading doctors in the field who have been fighting for our profession for decades,” says National University ND student Michael Robinson. “It was also incredible to attend this event with Mr. Mensching and our state leaders, as it was a clear demonstration of the care the NUHS administration has for its students and the success of our program.”
