1960 ’ s
Douglas H . Rosekrans , DC , ’ 60 , ran Liverpool Chiropractic Associates with his wife , Dr . Dorathy Rosekrans from 1960 to 1995 . Both were very active in the community , church , Red Cross , Lions Club and many other service organizations . Dorathy was President of NYS Business & Professional Women ’ s Federation and passed away in 1986 . Douglas hired an National College of Chiropractic ( NCC ) grad and sold the practice in 1995 . Additionally , after 20 years of service , Douglas retired as a United States Coast Guard Lieutenant Commander in the active reserves .
1970 ’ s
Allen Unruh , DC , ’ 70 , is celebrating his 54th year of practice . He expressed his excitement stating , “ this last year has been the best year on record !”
Robert R . Atnip , DC , ’ 71 , with County Mayor Matt Adcock and Guylenne Atnip celebrate National Chiropractic Health Month .
Roger A . Pope , DC , ’ 72 , referred a student to NUHS , received an award , retired and became chairman of the Illinois Medical License Board . He also became a member of the Council on Chiropractic Education ( CCE ) board , and president of the Illinois Chiropractic Society . Most recently , he was designated an Emeritus member by the Illinois Chiropractic Society .
Howard Benedikt , DC , ’ 76 , became president of the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition in New York . He completed his MS degree in Clinical Nutrition and has practiced for 50 years ! He says he enjoys practicing and teaching the younger generation .
1980 ’ s
William D . Rasmussen , DC , ’ 81 , received the 2023 proclamation for Chiropractic Health Care Month at the Illinois Chiropractic Society Fall Convention . The proclamation was signed by J . B . Pritzker , Governor of the State of Illinois . Dr . Rasmussen ( L ) is pictured with NUHS President P . D . Stiefel ( R ).
After being injured in the Our Lady of the Angels School fire as a boy , Gerald Andreoli , DC , ’ 72 , sought treatment from a chiropractor . Now , his own clinic , run by his daughter , Christa Andreoli , DC ’ 97 and fellow NUHS alumnus Peter Horn , DC , ’ 83 , are celebrating 50 years in practice !
R . Thomas Roselle , DC , ’ 77 , was honored with the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Weight-Training Injury Specialists .
Jeffrey Griffin , DC , ’ 84 , and his wife celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary !
Steven Lehmann , DC , ’ 89 , is celebrating 35 years of chiropractic care .
