Hiwaga ng Mundo
Goes to Don Bosco Mandaluyong
by: Yvette Macayan
The Don Bosco as a community believe the need to in-
tervene, bullies, victims, and bystanders will continue to
believe in the power of bullying, rather than the power of
prevention. They will continue to let bullying happen. As
part of the Don Bosco Technical College and the Don Bosco
Mandaluyong Alumni Association Inc. campaign against anti –
bullying. Hiwaga ng Mundo was shown at the Gesu Adolesen-
te Gymnasium of Don Bosco Mandaluyong last Novermber 27,
2018. It is primarily aimed to raise awareness of all mem-
bers of the school community - children & young people,
parents and school staff about the harm that bullying causes
and how children & young people can be protected, includ-
ing solutions to the problem of rising incidents of bullying.

Penned by Jose Jeffrey Camanag, music composed by
Maestro Jesse Lucas and directed by award winning actor-
director Roeder Camanag. The original ‘Triple Threat of
the entertainment and performing arts industry. Set at the
time of creation when the world is still black and white.
The story unfolds when God decided to make the world
brighter and colorful by summoning the five colors, Wanda
Pula, Pao-pao Dilaw, Liraw Bughaw, Kahlim Itim and Lotti
Puti whom God assigned to be the leader of the mission
of beautifying the world by putting colors in his creations.
The conflict starts when Lotti and Kahlim had a misunder-
standing, and being the leader Lotti decided not to include
Kahlim in their mission, Lotti persuaded Kahlim to believe
that he is an outcast that has no purpose. In the end Wan-
da, Pao-pao, Liraw and Lotti realized that they need Kahlim
to provide contrast and make their hues more
vibrant and Kahlim finally found his purpose.
The play tackles the journey of colors in
making the world even more beautiful. The
message of the play resonated not only to the
kids but to the adults as well.
