Blavatnik School of Government in September 2015, to pursue a Master of Public Policy. This was an essential career decision because I needed to refocus my policy interest.
Since graduating from my Master’s program in November 2016, I have been working as an independent consultant on education policies in fragile and post-conflict states.
How has USIU-Africa impacted
your life?
USIU-Africa empowered me intellectually and professionally. As a young student, the school gave me various platforms for leadership and development. I learnt how to create and own my space and this enabled me to develop and enhance my interests in international relations and international development.
I formed great friendships and partnerships that have contributed greatly to my success to-date. I have lecturers and instructors who were very helpful – they guided me throughout my studies, and even when I transitioned to the professional environment, they have continued to encourage me to seek opportunities and to be the best.
Did you have a passion for what you are doing now back then when you were a student at USIU-Africa?
I did. I enjoyed every moment of my studies as a student of International Relations. The platforms provided for debate and engagement through classroom and outdoor activities prepared me for the professional roles I now play.
What are your best experiences and greatest achievements so far?
