HOMECOMING 2023
As part of the Homecoming festivities , President Stiefel honored several individuals for their distinguished achievements . The two most prestigious honors are reserved for the Outstanding Alum of the Year and the inductee to the NUHS Hall of Honor .
President Stiefel honored Dr . Shaon Hines (’ 15 ) as the Outstanding Alum of the Year . This award represents her continued commitment to the NUHS community , passion for integrative health care and perseverance in achieving daily success for the naturopathic profession .
Dr . Robert Shiel was inducted into the NUHS Hall of Honor at the President ’ s Luncheon . Although there are several requirements , one criterion states the recipient must have been of such significance that they have changed lives for the better . Ask any student who was fortunate enough to have interacted with Dr . Shiel and it is clear this criterion was achieved daily .

15 YEAR PRESIDENT ’ S CABINET INTERNATIONALE MEMBER
Dr . Theodore Johonson (’ 88 ), Dean of Clinics , was recognized by President Stiefel for his 15th Year of Membership in the President ’ s Cabinet Internationale .
SENIOR STEWARD – EMERALD LEVEL
Dr . Richard Dietzen (’ 80 ) was recognized by President Stiefel for attaining the Senior Steward - Emerald Level .
