Altitude 2497 COSFORD SQUADRON Other events on the day were; 100m, relay, shotputt, discus, high jump and long jump. Well done to Cdt. Dean for achieving gold in the shot-putt. Cadet of the Month – May This month we are bending the rules slightly as we have selected two cadets. At presentation evening the below cadets were awarded the most improved male and female. We felt that these two cadets deserved to be further acknowledged and therefore we award cadet Cook and Cadet Mathias with the Cadet(s) of the Month title. Everyone who attended put in a lot of effort and it was good to see Cosford sticking together, cheering each other on and working as a team. Everyone came away with something whether it be a memory or a medal . Everyone was called together at the end of the day for a brief awards ceremony. Overall, Cosford managed a fifth place out of the twenty eight squadrons to attend. Well done Cosford and well done to those who went on to represent Wing, namely Cpl. Beacham, and Cdts. Dean and Morjaria. Website This month saw the release of our new squadron website. It was officially launchd on presentation evening. A huge ‘well done’ is deserved by Cdt. Phillips who single handedly designed and built the site. The site has a professional look about it and offers lots of advice in everything from joining and what we are about, to the latest news and the evenings uniform. I think you’ll be with me in agreeing the site looks fantastic and although it is not yet accessible via search engines you can access it by the web address which is : www.2497cosfordsquadron.moonfruit.co Page 3 Please feel free to give feedback to cosfordatc2497@virginmedia.com
