There rarely is a time when this café isn’t filled to its rim which of course makes it quite noisy but the rooms are magnificent so such a little flaw should be ignored. The coffee is cheap, their hot chocolate is formidable and they have delicious cake! What more could you want?
The last café is also a restaurant. Café Norden can be found on one of the biggest high streets in Copenhagen. It is spacious and opulent. They’re quite expensive but if you want to be surrounded by beautiful architecture, sit in overly comfortable chairs and enjoy a brunch like no other then this is the place.
The Food
There are tons of restaurants in Copenhagen. You can get anything from sushi to traditional Danish cuisine. My favourite places to go includes The Bagel Co. where they have delicious bagels for a reasonable price. Sticks n’ Sushi is the place to go for good Japanese food and although you’ll be broke for quite a while after it sure is worth it. The last place worthy of a visit is Bronx Burger Bar. I discovered this jewel only a few weeks back together with some of my close friends. It is cheap, cosy and so so so so so delicious (yes the repetition was very necessary). I had a Jack Daniels Burger with sweet potato fries and guacamole and I was in heaven for the rest of the night!
The Nature
So where do you go for a good walk?
There are several parks in Copenhagen such
as Kongens Have (the King’s Garden)
which is beautiful during the summer. Much of Copenhagen is currently under renovation and what not so it is not as its most beautiful but if you can look away from the grey barriers and the piles of broken up cement and pavement then by all means visit Nyhavn and Amalieborg Gardens – both lovely and by the water.
The Shops
Copenhagen isn’t scarce of shops either. There are too many to mention but you should definitely visit Larsbjørnstræde where you can find lovely vintage and second hand boutiques. Other than that, Strøget has a wealth of shops both high street and more quirky.
So next time you find yourself in Copenhagen or if you cannot figure out where to go for your holidays – drop by Denmark’s capital. We might not be the most famous city in the world but we sure do have a lot to offer!
