PROGRAM AIDS | personal development || card file is at work here: lists are laid out on project boards, you add cards to the lists. And the fun begins when you collaborate with others to populate, add, adapt, transfer, and swap lists and cards any way you like. Trello can prove useful for everything from simple lists to professional proj- ects. Padlet (iOS) This is a marvelous online tool that gives you complete freedom of action. It presents an empty page that you can populate with anything you like, any way you like: with stickers, photographs, documents, commentaries. All op- erations are done with a couple of clicks. Of course, Padlet doesn’t differ much from other such services with regard to functionality (lino, for example), but what is most winning here is its ability to let you create an individual design for your digital idea laboratory. 49 Edmodo (iOS, Android) Edmodo is a free educational network for remote in- teraction that is gaining popularity by leaps and bounds among teachers worldwide. Here they can communicate with colleagues, students and parents; share files, create documents with public access to those invited to join, put up assignments and quizzes, supplement and correct pa- pers, provide information and resources, and manage other functions helpful to teachers and their students. Ed- modo is teacher-focused and useful for brainstorming within the context of education. Naturally, this survey isn’t complete. But it hardly makes sense to sort through all the applications; differ- ences basically consist of particularities of design, avail- ability of this or that function, and formats for export/import like PNG, JPEG, XML, HTML, XHTML, and OpenDocu- ment. Don’t spend a lot of time choosing; focus on two or three and get busy! ALPEON.COM
