Flirty Dancing takes a step into Latin America
Flirty Dancing has made its Latin American debut with a 13-episode first season launched in Brazil in June. Airing on Record TV, the Brazilian series is a studio version of the dating format which sees hopeful singles meet for the very first time on the dance floor to perform a choreographed routine together. Without saying a single word, they must decide if they would like to meet again. It is a fresh twist on modern romance, proving that for some, love really can begin with the first dance.
Race Across the World reaches new heights Rise and Fall lands in India
The hotly anticipated Indian version of reality format Rise and Fall launched on Amazon MX Player in September to great success. This 42 x 60’ celebrity edition attracted an impressive average streaming audience of 4.9 million viewers in its second week, ranking as the 2 nd most popular unscripted show in India *. Originally produced for Channel 4, UK, the format splits contestants into two groups: the Rulers who live in an opulent penthouse, and the Workers, confined to the dingy basement. With the Rulers calling the shots, the Workers must scheme, strategize, and fight their way to the top, delivering nonstop tension and drama.
The Traitors: A global phenomenon
The Traitors continues to take the world by storm, with local versions now commissioned in over 30 territories. This year alone has seen a wave of new adaptations premiere worldwide, including in Ireland, India, Spain, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The Traitors has also recently won five Emmys ® and the Indian version walked away with four Asian Academy Creative Awards in the national winners round. The brand continues to expand beyond the screen: The Traitors: Live Experience opened in London this Spring to rave reviews, giving fans the chance to immerse themselves in the treachery, tension, and twists of the smash hit series.
The Dog House rolls out 8 th international adaptation
The Dog House made its Spanish debut this July on TVE with a 10-episode season, bringing heartfelt stories of dogs finding their forever homes to a brand-new audience. The format continues to thrive internationally: in the UK season 7 averaged 1.3 million viewers across seven episodes, outperforming Channel 4’ s slot by 46 %, while in Finland the series continues to deliver consistent growth season after season. Now commissioned in nine territories- including Australia, Israel, and Germany, with a new commission to be announced soon.
Spain has officially joined the race, marking the 8th international version for BAFTA-winning format Race Across the World. Set to launch on RTVE this Autumn, the new Spanish version will see celebrities challenged to race across Latin America without taking a single flight. Earlier in the year, Norway’ s debut season became a breakout success, averaging a 19.7 % share on TVNorge and more than tripling the slot benchmark. In the UK, the 5th season aired to record-breaking ratings, winning the slot for BBC One and ranking as the highest rated UK season to date. The format has also expanded beyond television, with the Race Across the World: Live Experience opening in both London and Manchester this year.
