surprised. You are looking for Jesus, who was
crucified. He isn’t here! He has risen from the
dead!’
When Mary Magdalene found the grieving disciples
and told them that Jesus was still alive they didn’t
believe her. Even when he appeared to two
disciples who were walking to Galilee from
Jerusalem they refused to believe it was Jesus.
When they realised it had been Jesus they rushed to
tell the others – who still refused to believe that
Jesus had risen. Later he appeared to all eleven
disciples when they were eating together and they
had to accept that Jesus had indeed risen from the
dead… His comeback was complete.
He told them at that time: ‘Go into the world and
preach the good news to everyone everywhere’ …
and today there are millions and millions of
Christians around the world.

Spring Ball 2017
Final preparations are well underway for the Spring
Ball at Weymouth Pavilion on Friday April 28 th . This
is a study day for the Year 11 pupils, so they will not
need to attend school. Arrivals for the ball should
be between 6pm and 7.30pm as we aim to eat at
8pm.
The arrivals will work slightly differently this year.
To arrive at the ball, they will need to be dropped
off outside the entrance to the Pavilion by the red
carpet. They will then get out of the car to have
photos taken by the Echo, the official photographer
from wowzoncanvas and by Mr Carpenter. This is
NOT an opportunity for you to take photos, Mr
Carpenter’s will be made available digitally for
free. Please don’t slow down the process of the
arrivals by trying to take photos here. Once they
have arrived, the pupils can step into the crowd to
have photos taken with friends, but they will be
ushered in to the Pavilion as we near meal time.
There will be barriers laid out, please wait behind
them as shown on the map, the area in front of the
Pavilion must be kept clear as it is an emergency
route. Cars should wait on the left hand side of the
Esplanade until called forward into the car park area
– there is a show on at the Pavilion and people will
need to get past to park.
