Fallen Kite A colorful streamer Wags her tail, Pawing and fawning Like dolphin in the sky Out of the blue She crash lands Slipping altitude No signals, nor runway radars Just a still long Snake like corpse held invisible The tyre marks sketch On her bamboo bones She’s quiet and lies unmoved No owner’s howls Nor victory shouts Until a child stuck her ground Refused to cross The even tarred road She drops that hand Picks the kite Brushes the sand Blows it high All of one foot high
