Fallen Kite A colorful streamer Wags her tail, Pawing and fawning Like dolphin in the sky Out of the blue She crash lands Slipping altitude No signals, nor runway radars Just a still long Snake like corpse held invisible The tyre marks sketch On her bamboo bones She’s quiet and lies unmoved No owner’s howls Nor victory shouts Until a child stuck her ground Refused to cross The even tarred road She drops that hand Picks the kite Brushes the sand Blows it high All of one foot high by shyla
