Four Fantastic Elements of Nature

General Goals and Objectives:
Undoubtedly, nature is all around us and it is the perfect thing to bring inside our learning
environment. Exploring nature is vital to children’s development in every major way,
intellectually, emotionally, socially, morally and physically. Learning and engaging with nature
is also important for developing creative and problem-solving skills. Hence, this month we invite
our students to investigate the many ways in which the four elements of nature, fire, air, water
and earth, affect our daily lives and of course all the living things around us. This monthly
exploration is consider highly significant for VESS curriculum as these four fantastic elements
are life sustaining. Through engaging activities and hands-on projects we aim to help children
discover and appreciate the four elements and their roles in our world. The fantastic four
elements of nature is great provoker of inquiry, wonder, exploration and discovery. It brings
inside the classroom the concept of scientific method and it encourages students to interact with
their surroundings. Our ultimate goal is to help children understand how and why things happen!
