Central Objectives for the Achievement of VESS
Develop the autonomy and independence of the learner
With the purpose of fostering individuals who posses great intellectual and ethical
firmness, edu1st has established, as a basic and integral aspect of its philosophy and culture, the
importance of inculcating moral, social and intellectual autonomy in each member of its
establishments. These autonomies interact within the individual with the aim of modeling a
better learner, a better citizen, and in synthesis, a better human being that is more fit for a world
that needs fair, responsible and empathetic
people; people who not only have the
abilities to thrive in the dynamic reality of
the 21st century, but who want to do it with
integrity and a purpose that takes into
account the needs of their communities, of
the human species and of the planet.
Our greatest conviction as educators
is the formation of autonomous individuals
who are not led by ideas of punishments or
rewards, but by a firm moral compass.
Individuals
who
share
a
sense
of
responsibility and respect for the life of
every human being and place they live in. Individuals equipped with strength, creativity and the
determination to think freely and defend the freethinking of others.
